The Dhaka University Nanotechnology Centre (DUNC) successfully organized the second seminar titled “Nanorevolution in Drug Delivery and Electronics” on January 30, 2025 at the Centre for Advanced Research in Sciences (CARS), University of Dhaka. The event was graced by Prof.Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Academic), University of Dhaka, as the Chief Guest and Prof. Dr. Upama Kabir, Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Dhaka, attended as the Special Guest.

The chief guest Prof. Dr. Md. Selim Reza, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka, delivered an insightful presentation on the transition from conventional drug delivery systems to advanced nano-drug delivery platforms, highlighting their impact on precision medicine and therapeutic efficiency. Prof. Dr. Jal Singh, Department of Pure and Applied Physics, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, India, spoke about recent progress in two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides and their promising applications in nanoelectronics and thermoelectric devices. The program was chaired by Prof. Dr. Md. Abu Bin Hasan Susan, Director, Dhaka University Nanotechnology Centre and Professor, Department of Chemistry, University of Dhaka. In his welcome address, Prof. Susan highlighted the growing significance of nanotechnology as a multidisciplinary platform that connects chemistry, physics, pharmacy, engineering, and materials science. He encouraged students and researchers to actively engage in innovative research that addresses real-world challenges through nanotechnology.
